Born on September 10, 1941, in Upper Kennetcook, Hants Co., he was a son of the late Wilbert and Susan (MacAskill) Miller. Wendall will be well remembered as an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed spending time at his hunting camp and woodlot in Upper Kennetcook. A loyal sports fan, he would often be found in the corner of many sports facilities enjoying his children's and grandchildren's ventures. His baseball career started at an early age in Hants County where he honed his skills as a pitcher and first baseman. He was well-known for power at the plate, eventually earning the nick-name 'Homerun Miller'. He continued playing competitive ball until well into his 40's, when his friends convinced him to give it up for the game of golf. He competed in many local tournaments and was a member of the Valley Seniors, which he enjoyed immensely. He especially enjoyed his Thursday golfing pals, Garnet, Luke and Ken. Wendall stayed busy in his retirement, after 37 years with Trans Canada Credit, writing poetry, completing woodworking projects and producing maple syrup at his sugar shack in Upper Kennetcook. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jeannine Aub?; his children, Shelley (Hugh Fergusson), Oakfield; Greg (Susan), Lethbridge, Alta.; Dwayne (Jacquelyn), Falmouth; grandchildren, Nicole, Lauren, Andrew, Brad, Jon, Stephanie, Jessa, Jorelle (Joey Young), and Nolan; and great-granddaughter, Harlo Bella; brothers, Reg and Wayne (Lee); sisters, Elsie and Norma (Rollie); several nieces and nephews. Born in Halifax in 1937, he was a son of the late Jessica (Bell) and Earl Hennigar (of Halifax). At a young age Dave served in the Canadian Navy. While there, he worked on the water towers in Niagara Falls, helped build the new Welland Canal and then worked for Clems and Millers Ready Mix for around 30 years until he retired and moved back to Bible Hill. He enjoyed fishing and camping. Cecil is survived by his daughter, Linda (Wayne); grandchildren, who were his pride and joy, Jennifer, Brett (Charlene), Robyn (Brad); great grandchildren, Karly, Abby, Andrew, Erin, Bradyn; sisters, Mamie (Al) Wyle, Aline; sisters-in-law, Marcey MacLean, Audrey (Charles) Weatherby, Caren (John) Bonnell; special nieces, Janice, Melissa; special mechanic, Midge; several other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
