HENNIGAR, David Earl - With deep sadness the family of David Hennigar announces his passing on October 28, 2010. Surrounded and comforted by his family he passed away in the QEII Health Sciences Centre after a lengthy illness. Born in Halifax in 1937, he was a son of the late Jessica (Bell) and Earl Hennigar (of Halifax). At a young age Dave served in the Canadian Navy. He worked as an insurance agent and was involved in several business enterprises until he retired to live in Tantallon. He was an avid golfer and lover of classical music. He is survived and will be greatly missed by loving wife, Gloria (Comstock); siblings, Janet Simmons, Victoria, B.C.; Catherine (John) Hennigar- Shuh and Peter (Linda) Hennigar; caring friend and former wife, Frances Hennigar; his cousin and life-long friend, Joanne Shaw, Ontario; children with wife Elizabeth Hennigar (Merlin, deceased), Suzzann, Stephen (Sylvia) , Diane; children with Frances Hennigar (Garrison), David (Christine) of Winnipeg, Man.; Darlene; stepchildren, Christine (Glen), Timothy (Jennifer); grandchildren, Timothy, Alicia, Melissa, Marion, Paige, Alexander, Percy, Cohen, Cole and Kylee (deceased); step grandchildren, Alexandra, Thomas; 10 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephew, Janet, Anita, Bill, Jennifer, Anna and Elspeth. A memorial service will be held for the family on Monday. Donations in his name may be made to the Lung Association of Nova Scotia.
