A family member reports, "Ruby would have been 16-17 years old when she got in trouble and was put into a home for her baby to be born and adopted". Ruby attended the funeral of her father's second wife in 1928 in Bath. By that time, she is said to have lived some place in Massachusetts and was married to a chief of police. She was driven to the funeral in Bath "by her son, maybe in his early twenties". A search of Massachusetts Records produced no information. The window lists the names of his male children. From Isabel Henniger: "It is interesting that I can find nothing on the 1900 [US]/1901 [Canadian] census for Amy. The 1880 census shows an Amy Hennigar, born in 1838 in Nova Scotia, living in Cambridge, Mass., divorced and a washwoman. On the 1911 [U.S.] census, she is living with a cousin, William Hennigar, born 1828, a widower. I haven't figured out who he might be, as John's son William died in 1898.
