Notes - After her mother died, Ruby and her brother were raised by their Laffin kin. Ruby was in Bath, Maine in 1900 as evidenced by her witness of baptism of her half brother, Roy Miller. A family member reports, "Ruby would have been 16-17 years old when she got in trouble and was put into a home for her baby to be born and adopted". Ruby attended the funeral of her father's second wife in 1928 in Bath. By that time, she is said to have lived some place in Massachusetts and was married to a chief of police. She was driven to the funeral in Bath "by her son, maybe in his early twenties". A search of Massachusetts Records produced no information.
