His obituary was published in The Register on 14 Apr 1937 in Berwick, Kings Co., Nova Scotia, Canada:
The death of Stuart Dalrymple of Waterville occurred at Western Kings Memorial Hospital, Monday, April 12, at the age of sixty-nine years. The late Mr. Dalrymple was born at Noel, Hants County and had resided in the Valley for the past forty years. A painter and decorator by trade, he was a good citizen and enjoyed the friendship of a large number of acquaintances.
Surviving besides his wife who is critically ill, are one son, Fred of Waterville and three daughters, Mrs. John Shiers, Halifax, Miss Ann Dalrymple, Grand Rapids, Mich., and Mrs. Perry Johnson, Medford, Mass. One sister, Miss Mary Dalrymple, California and three brothers, James, Seattle, Wash., William, Omaha, Neb., and John, Milford Station, Halifax County, also survive.
Funeral service will be held at the United Church, Waterville, Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Interment will be made in the family lot, Waterville cemetery.
