  www.findagrave.com (accessed 13 Dec 2013) Vance Garnett White Birth: 1915 Death: Aug. 6, 1932 Vance was the son of Reuben and Margaret Harvey White. He married Thelma Winnifred White on January 9, 1932. It was "young love" as he was only 18 (according to the marriage certificate). Thelma just 17. Their marriage was short-lived as Vance died at Victoria General Hospital in Halifax on August 6, 1932. He was the victim of an accidental gunshot wound to his leg. His leg was amputated but Vance did not survive the shock and hemorrhaging from his wound. His death record (which listed his age as 16) indicates a burial in Elmsdale Cemetery, (on the day he died) but he is none-the-less buried here in Kenntecook.
