ANTHONY, Douglas Addison - 81, Kennetcook, Hants Co., passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 11, 2002, in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Kennetcook on October 1, 1921, he was a son of the late Chalmers and Alma (Hennigar) Anthony. In his earlier years, Douglas worked on the railroad and as a lumber surveyor in various sawmills. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and watching baseball, as well as keeping a daily journal on the weather and other important facts of life, but the most important was the love he had for his family.
Surviving are his loving wife of 57 years, Marion (Lake); daughters, Linda (Floyd) White and Charlotte (Mack) Harvey, both of Kennetcook; granddaughters, Angelia (Charlie), Sherri (Tim), Christine (Scott) and Beverly (John); four great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by sister, Dorothy. Cremation has taken place with no visitation by request of the deceased. A private family committal service will be held at a later date. Donations to a charity of choice. Arrangements entrusted to J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home., Hwy. 354, Kennetcook.
