DENSMORE, Donovan Winslow "Don" - 62, Noel Shore, passed away on October 10, 2008, at home with his family by his side, after a brave battle with cancer. Born in Noel Shore, he was a son of the late Clair and Audrey (Miller) Densmore. He worked in the construction industry with Dexter Construction and Municipal Enterprises for forty years. His work was important to him, and he enjoyed going to work because of the challenges the different jobs offered. He was a member of Noel United Church and the Royal Canadian Legion, Hants North Branch 166. Don was an excellent athlete in his younger years. He was a gardener and truly loved working in his vegetable garden. He is survived by his daughter, Andrea Densmore (Larry Lyver), Shearwater; son, Kirby (Sarah Hill), South Maitland; grandchildren, Hannah, Sarah and Colby Fenton, Clarksville; brothers, Roddie (Sharon), Noel Shore; Lorrie (Margaret), Truro; sisters, Vivian (Tom Leighton), Nine Mile River; Moira Forde, Dartmouth; Iris (Brian Lyghtle), Noel Shore; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sister Kathleen. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Ettinger Funeral Home. Visitation 6:30-8:30 p.m. Sunday in Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. Memorial service 2 p.m. Monday, October 13, in Noel United Church, Rev. Joan Conrad officiating. Private family burial will take place in Lower Selma Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Don may be made to Noel United Church, Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
