She is a former resident and music teacher in Soda Springs. Services were held March 18 with burial in Rosebud Cemetery. Mrs. MacAllister was a music teacher, bookkeeper for an attorney, and a volunteer secretary at the Glenwood Springs Police Department. She was a resident of Glenwood Springs for many years, and was born there on April 21, 1918 to Lucy Maria McLearn. She graduated from Glenwood Springs High School and attended Boston Conservatory of Music and earned her master's degree. She married Alfred A. MacAllister June 24, 1945 in Boston. She lived in Soda Springs, Shiprock, New Mexico, and Grand Junction, Colorado. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and AARP. Her special interests were cats, fish, and music. Survivors include her husband; sons, Richard of Alamogordo, NM, Scott of Mannheim, Germany and Gregg of Glenwood Springs, CO; a daughter Lucianne MacAllister of Westminister, CO; a brother, Edward J. Horan of Lakewood, CO; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
