PARKER, Albert Merlin ? 83, of Lower Sackville, formerly of Timberlea, passed away September 28, 2012, in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Natick, Mass., he was a son of the late William M. and Mildred M. (Hennigar) Parker.
He was a Halifax City police office for 11 years and owned and operated Armdale-Spryfield Taxi for over 10 years. Albert enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially with his son-in-law, Elmer at Weaver's Mountain, watching the Toronto Blue Jays and John Wayne movies, and time spent with his family at the cottage in Greenfield. Albert is survived by his wife of 43 years, Kay (Cameron); daughters, Deborah (Elmer) Fleming, Scotsburn; Faith Parker, Lower Sackville; son, Hazen (Nicole) Parker, Lower Sackville; sisters, Barbara (Jim) Stevens, Middleton; Sheila (George) Noshkin, Marilyn Parker, all of British Columbia; brothers, Rev. George (Attrude) Parker, Bedford; Amos (Betty) Parker, Brooklyn; Alan (Marie) Parker, Bedford; Wallace (Ann) Parker, Greenfield; Dr. Stirling (Charlotte), Kamloops, B.C.; grandchildren, Carrie, Dale, Tyler, Mitchell, Connor, Jayden; great-grandchildren, Breanna, Hailey, Emily. Albert was predeceased by first wife, Bernice; son, Kelvin and grandson, Jonathan. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 3rd, in St. Andrew's Anglican Church, 2553 St. Margaret's Bay Rd., Timberlea, Rev. Judie Lafford officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. A reception will follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
