MILLER (Duffy), Alice Bernice - January 5, 1925 - August 26, 2009, passed away peacefully in the Mira, Truro. She lived in East Noel before moving to the Mira in 2003. Bernice served with the WACS during the Second World War. Surviving are sons, John (Yvonne), South Rawdon; Ernie, Salmon River; daughters, Sharon Densmore (Roddy), Noel Shore; Terri Tracey (Ross), Milford; Cathy Lewis (Gordon), Harmony Road and Darlene, East Noel; sister, Margaret Duffy, Saint John, N.B.; grandchildren, Janet and David Densmore (Linda), Shelly (Malcolm MacDermid), Valerie Castell, Bill Mason (Toni), Erin Miller (Angus), Mike Watson (Sherry), Gerry Watson (Michelle), Michelle DeBay (Kirk), Brian Tracey, Heather Mitchell (Ricky Woodworth); great-grandchildren, Tiffany and Kristie Castell, Tristan Elliott, Lexie Benedict, Alex, Ella and Charlotte Mason, Morgan and Haley DeBay, Brandon, Luke, Logan and Josh Watson, Rory and Callum MacDermid; great great-granddaughter, Courtnie Berger. She was predeceased by parents, William and Theresa (Walsh) Duffy; husband, Harry; brothers, Bill and Fred; sisters, Agnes, Eileen, Dorothy, Mae and Jeanette. We wish to thank the staff of the Mira for the excellent care and friendship shown to mom during her stay. Cremation has taken place under the care of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie and there will be no visitation. Memorial service at the Mira, 426 Young St., Truro, Saturday at 2 p.m. Family flowers only, donations in memory to Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
