HENNIGAR, Graham Pineo - Died of a heart attack, in Colchester Regional Hospital on Sunday, June 10, 2007. His devoted wife, Bea MacRae, was at his bedside. Graham also leaves behind his only daughter, Linda O'Neill, and her husband Jeff O'Neill of Kingston, Ont. Also mourning his loss are his grandchildren, Michael and Jenni O'Neill. Born in Halifax on December 25, 1927, and raised in Upper Kennetcook, Graham was the youngest child of the late Erven and Bessie Hennigar. He was predeceased by his brothers, George, Earl and Bill, and by his sister, Ella Hennigar. At 16, Graham moved to Ontario to complete high school. After apprenticing as an auto mechanic, he opened his own garage. He later began a second career as a high school automechanics instructor and for over 20 years he was highly respected as a teacher and mentor. Several years after retiring from teaching, he returned home to his beloved Nova Scotia and his dear Kennetcook friends. Recently, he and Bea had been residing in Brookfield. Cremation has taken place with visitation for family and friends Thursday, June 14, from 7-9 p.m. in J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Highway 354, Kennetcook. A memorial service will be held Friday, June 15, at 2 p.m. in St. Peter's Anglican Church, Upper Kennetcook, Rev. Gloria McClure-Fraser officiating, with interment of ashes in St. Peter's Anglican Church Cemetery. Donations in memory can be made to St. Peter's Anglican Cemetery or a charity of choice.
