WHITE, Nellie Marlen
Age 78, of Kennetcook, passed away on July 9, 2014, in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Noel on March 21, 1936, Nellie was a daughter of the late Guy and Charlotte (Hennigar) Laffin. Nellie enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting, and was an avid quilter. Nellie is survived by her husband, Perry White, of Kennetcook; her son, Lionel (Kim) White, of Kennetcook; her granddaughter, Cindy White (Chris), of Londonderry; her sisters, Mona Joan Parks of Kingston, and Phyllis McGoogan of Peterborough, Ont ., and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Nellie was predeceased by her sister, Grace Morehouse. Cremation has taken place with no visitation by request. A graveside committal service will be held on Sunday, July 13, at 2 p.m. in St. James Presbyterian Cemetery, Noel Road. Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Nellie may be made to St. James Presbyterian Cemetery, c/o Goldie White, White Settlement Road, RR2 Kennetcook, NS B0N 1P0 or to Canadian Cancer Society.
