TURPLE, Edna Gertrude ? Of Latties Brook, Hants Co., went home March 14th, 2013, in her 84th year. Born January 3, 1929, in Latties Brook, Edna was a daughter of the late George and Alice (Ettinger) Burton and wife of the late Ernest Reginald Turple. She is survived by her chil dren, Leonard (Thelma) of Halifax, and Katherine Murdock (Eldon) of Oromocto, N.B.; grandchildren, Jill Turple (Shan) of Noel Road; Justin Turple of Halifax; Jay Turple (Christine) of Bayside; great-grandchildren, Colby, Brody and Garrett; sister and best friend, Madge Miller of Upper Kennetcook; brother, George Burton (Dierdrie) of Renfrew, Ont., and Leroy Burton (Pat) of Nepean, Ont. Edna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and
friend. She loved spending time with family and friends. Edna loved working in her gardens, cooking for family, friends and community suppers and going shopping. She enjoyed her dog Toby; they had many good trips to town. Mum will be loved always. Edna was a member of the Ladies Orange Benevolent Association in Latties Brook for 50 years. Edna had many wonderful friends; you all know who you are. Edna was also predeceased by brothers, Harry and
Leonard; several brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. We know we will see you soon. Resting in Ettingers Funeral Home, Shubenacadie, from where visitation will be Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, Latties Brook with Rev. Beverley DeVouge officiating. Burial will take place
in the church cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, or St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, Latties Brook. A very special thank you to Dr. Graham Bethune for his compassionate care of Edna and also thank you to all the staff at Northwood Home Care.
