  (Research):http://www.library.dal.ca/DUASC/Obituaries/ErvinA/ (accessed 7 May 2013) Arthur Ervin, Professor Emeritus of Prosthodontics and 1943 Dalhousie dentistry graduate, passed away on May 15, 2000. Born in Stewiacke, Ervin served in the Royal Canadian Dental Corp for the latter part of World War II. Later, he practised in Dartmouth and taught part-time at the Faculty of Dentistry. In 1969, he graduated with a Master of Science in Prosthodontics at Ohio State University. He immediately returned to a full-time faculty position at Dalhousie, from which he retired in 1987.
