Doris Elizabeth "Betty" (Crowe) Abraham - 83, Truro. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away peacefully Thursday morning, February 9, 2012, at VG Site, QEII, Halifax. Born January 20, 1929, in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Chester and Ellen (Hennigar) Crowe.
Betty is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Albert; daughters, Darlene (Jim) Blair, Truro; Jo-Anne Abraham (Jan Krieger) Hamburg, Germany; grandchildren, Jamie Blair, Daniel Blair, Yannick Krieger, Sophia Krieger; brother, Bernard Crowe, Truro; sisters, Ileen (Bud) Densmore, Prince's Lodge, Bedford; Joan (Vernon) Read, Dartmouth; several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Lenna Crowe.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where the funeral service will be held 3 p.m., Tuesday, February 14, 2012, Reverend Valerie Kingsbury officiating, and Reverend David MacNaughton assisting. If so desired, donations in Betty's memory to Colchester Community Workshop are welcomed.
