WARD, Marilyn Leona - 66, Riverside Corner, Hants Co., passed away February 14, 2003, in the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born March 3, 1936, in Upper Kennetcook, she was a daughter of the late Wilbert and Susan (MacAskill) Miller. Marilyn first worked at a nursing home in Beaver Bank, then delivered mail for over 20 years in Kennetcook. She loved to play washer toss, bingo, cards and enjoyed dancing. Marilyn will be sadly missed by her family, whom she loved dearly.
Surviving are husband, Russell; daughters, Sandra Comeau, Windsor; Gail (Lawrence) Burgess, Riverside Corner; sons, Stephen (Karen), Riverside Corner; Dale, Riverside Corner; grandchildren, Shyla, Melissa, Jossie, Justin and Kayla; sisters, Beatrice Townsend, Norma Robitaille and Elsie Turner; brothers, Robbie, Reg, Wendell and Wayne; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by sister, Marjorie Hughes; brothers, Rueben and Raymond.
Cremation has taken place with no visitation by request. Memorial service 2 p.m. Monday, February 17, in J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Hwy. 354, Kennetcook, Hants Co., K. Wayne Yorke, L.M. officiating. Interment in Kennetcook United Church Cemetery, Kennetcook. Donations to Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of choice. Arrangements entrusted to J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Hwy. 354, Kennetcook (902-362-2440).
